Department for Transport | Country Roads

We composed a new piece of music for the Department for Transport’s ‘THINK! Country Roads: If you could see’ safety campaign with AMV BBDO.

We created a minimalist & ambient mood piece specifically designed to complement the visual techniques and imagery used in the cinema and online ad.

The atonal score and additional atmospheric sounds create a sense of ambiguity and uncertainty at the start and increase the tension as events unfold.

Compositional details such as experimental and non-conventional instrumentation, sounds and techniques help to “add motion” and bring life to the static images. However, certain elements of the score remain intentionally toned down to increase a sense of realism without distracting from a very important message.
