Friday Soundscape #10

After a break for the last couple of weeks we are back with another soundscape. This week we have used just one source recording and mangled it into a soundscape.

Here is the original recording of a radiator being struck with a stick.

First we added some stereo delay

Then a phaser

Next we added some modulated delay

Then we split the signal into 6 tracks and re-pitched them

Some flanger

Some more delay

Added a spot of compression

We then bounced the audio and reversed it. This idea was inspired by our recent blog post on Attention grabbing audio tricks.

We combined the forward and reverse tracks to create a sound that dipped in the middle

Finally we made use of Paul’s Extreme Sound Stretch application to stretch the sound out 25x:

As always the final soundscape is available to download and use under a Creative Commons license.
