Chris,
Excellent work, can I ask what you used to edit the video with?
Hi Peter,
The video was edited with Adobe Premier Elements. A great package for those that need to do a bit of video editing but don’t need the full heavyweight features of Premier Pro or Final Cut Pro:

Amazing! How can I get a copy of the audio?
Hi Tony. The audio is available for free to download on soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/ithaca-audio/dont-hold-back-just-push-1
Hi nicely done , did you use a max patch thru Live like (cell dna)
also where is the “Surfing Horses” from …that was amazing !!
Not for this one, although we are working on a few different ideas for the next mashup and a live performance set-up too. The surfing horses clip is from a Guiness advert called ‘Surfer’ Directed by Jonathan Glazer (he has put together some of the best adverts and music videos of all time). The track used in the advert is ‘Phat Planet’ by Leftfield.

Very nice work Chris. I dig it!
You should give credit to Party Ben’s track “Galvanize the Empire” since you used it here.

Thanks for your comment.
Yep Party Ben’s mix is a great one. We hadn’t actually seen it before we created this mashup but he definitely got there first on this one.

Very cool indeed… been using these loops with the same setup to get some much needed practice in on Ableton.
Question - What filters/effects are using on the tracks? is it the same for each or do you have different els depending on the loop being played?
I am using the ‘One Knob EQ’ preset myself…
Great work!!
Hi Paul,
The filters are all using the standard low-pass and high-pass filters in Ableton Live. Other than that there are a few little EQ tweaks and some compression but nothing major. We tend to use a lot of Waves plugins for mixing purposes.
Thanks
Chris…
Jaw still on table. Fantastic work.
Have you ever considered doing a live set?
Just a thought but i would pay handsomely to see that!
Anyway what was the audio set up to achieve this?
Thanks Graham,
We have done a couple of live sets in the past which have gone down really well. We are working on a new live-set up for 2012 at the moment and hope to be doing more live work through-out next year.
We have a nice long blog post about how we go about creating mash-ups on the way soon too (hopefully in the next week).
Thanks
Love it! I wish the videos were available to download because its great to watch the visuals to connect to the audio cues. Anyways, great work, keep them coming!
